Desi GR Hub is a community-run, volunteer-moderated space. Please read and keep these in mind whenever you use the groups.
- The admins' role is solely to maintain and moderate the groups. The admins are not liable for any interactions, transactions, or outcomes from group activities.
- Participate at your own discretion.
- All shared information is individual contribution, not verified or professional advice.
- Members resolve disputes independently while staying professional and respectful.
- The rides groups are NOT an official rideshare service and are not affiliated with any company.
- Always verify accommodation listings and individuals before making agreements.
- Business directory listings are community-curated but not endorsed or vetted by the admins.

Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Account info: if you sign in, we store your email address. If you use "Continue with Google," we also store the name and profile picture Google provides.
- Content you post: questions, answers, and housing/marketplace listings, plus any photos you attach to them.
- Contact form: if you use the Contact page, your name, optional email, and message are sent directly to our admins via Formspree — we don't store these ourselves.
- Automatic data: privacy-focused traffic and performance analytics (Vercel Analytics, Speed Insights). No advertising trackers, no cross-site tracking, nothing sold to third parties.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in, via a single session cookie — not used for tracking or advertising.
- To show your display name, posts, and answers on the community board.
- To let admins review reported posts/answers and act on safety concerns.
- To email a moderator when something is reported. That notification includes only the report reason and the reported item — never your personal information.
Who can see what
- Posts, answers, and any photos you upload are public — visible to anyone visiting the site, signed in or not.
- Your email address is never shown publicly. It's visible only to admins, through a restricted admin tool, for account and moderation purposes.
- Contact form messages go only to the admins' shared inbox.
Where your data lives
Supabase hosts our database, sign-in, and photo storage. Google is only involved if you choose to sign in with a Google account. Formspree delivers contact-form and report-notification emails. Vercel hosts the site and runs the analytics above. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
How long we keep it
- Housing and marketplace listings expire automatically after the duration you chose (7–60 days) and are then removed.
- Questions and answers stay up unless you or an admin removes them.
- You can edit or delete your own post within 24 hours of posting; after that, delete it and repost if you need changes.
- Want your account and everything tied to it deleted entirely? Contact us and we'll remove it.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
Desi GR Hub isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
